Running in the Dark and Other Foolish Endeavors

Today was a long day, some 13 hours or work, travel & more work and then it was time to train. Granted the training was short, at 7:30pm on a Friday night after a long day the last thing on my mind was more work. But things had to get done, a run was in order. The roads were wet, it was pitch black, snow was falling and I was wearing shorts. I didn't want to be out there running, I wanted to sleep, I wanted to be warm and comfortable on the couch. But the road was calling.... To top it all off I forgot my earphones, Fuck... I enjoy music on days like these as it drowns out my own thoughts and makes life more bearable but sadly it was not to be. There is nothing worse then being alone with your own thoughts... The run was long, it was cold and the empty dark streets of an industrial complex will sure make your feel all alone.
